Light Shining in the Darkest Places

We want to start by saying a huge thank you for being part of what God is doing here in Cambodia. Quite simply, we couldn’t do this without your prayers and partnership!

Lights, Camera, Action!

In October, we had the privilege of hosting Jessica from Iris Global for two weeks as she filmed content for an upcoming episode of “This Is Iris”. The plan is for it to be released by the end of Spring 2026. Having Jessica here was such an encouragement; the filming process provided a meaningful opportunity for our team to reflect on all of God’s ongoing faithfulness and remember some of the incredible testimonies from the last few years.

Light in the Darkness

Our Red Light outreach is experiencing increased fruitfulness, with growing interest in our English classes and discipleship programs. One incredible testimony came during an outreach into a KTV bar with a visiting team. We were actually able to sing worship songs through the karaoke machine.

The ladies from the bar who joined us all said they had "goosebumps" and could feel something completely different in the room. We explained that this was God’s presence and shared the Gospel with them. Three of the women received Jesus, and even their manager asked for prayer! In the darkest places, the Light shines all the brighter.

Around this time our team assisted in the rescue of four labor trafficking victims who were trapped here from South America. They are all now home—Praise God!

Vocational Training & Chomno Coffee

Chomno Coffee welcomed its first two short-term vocational trainees from a partner NGO this quarter. Both excelled and successfully completed the program! This pilot initiative provided critical insights as we refine our own training framework. In December, we took on our first full-time trainee from the Riverside community. (Srey Roth* whose story we share a little more about below). This will be a holistic, long-term journey, and we are so excited to walk alongside her over the coming months.

Healing Testimonies: Jesus Still Heals

We have seen the power of God move physically in our communities recently:

  • Railway Community: Srey Phery was struggling to breathe due to a serious respiratory illness. After prayer, she felt 50% better. After a second prayer, she jumped up overjoyed, shouting, “I’m 100% healed!”

  • Kampong Cham Province: During house-to-house outreach in the province, seven people opened their hearts to Jesus after we prayed for the sick and shared the Gospel in their homes.

  • A Medical Miracle: Our social worker found a homeless mother and her severely malnourished baby. The mother was rushed to the hospital with a critical heart condition. After the team shared the Gospel and she accepted Jesus, she made a recovery that stunned her doctors. She and her baby are now safe and living with their family.

  • Restored Hands: A little boy suffered a horrific stage-3 burn from hot oil. His mother couldn't get him to the hospital as she had no childcare for her other children. Our team laid hands on him and asked for a miracle. One week later, his hand had made a staggering recovery.

Rescues & New Beginnings

We are celebrating Srey Roth’s story. At just 16, Srey Roth* was living in a tuk-tuk with her family before being trapped as an indentured servant due to a debt. We were able to step in, pay the debt in full, and reunite her with her family. We’ve helped them rent a room, and Srey Roth* has now started vocational training, discipleship, and English classes at our Café.

Our social work team also facilitated the medical care and referral of a young girl found neglected while her mother was in prison, and identified/moved three other at-risk children to safe environments where they are now thriving.

Life at the Café & The Well

Chomno Coffee has started a weekly worship night open to everyone, and it has been truly special. One evening, ministries from Cambodia and Vietnam joined our local community and visiting teams for a powerful night of worship. Meanwhile, The Well (our prayer room) remains a key place of prayer for the whole ministry.

Christmas Celebrations

The festive season was a major highlight! Our team wrapped and distributed over 300 gifts across our communities. The celebrations featured a creative puppet show, traditional Khmer dance by our older children, and clear Gospel teachings. In one of our communities, six adults gave their lives to Jesus during the Christmas program!

Thank you for standing with us. Because of your partnership, lives are being eternally transformed—one miracle, one rescue, and one surrendered heart at a time!

Prayer requests:

As we move into the first quarter of 2026, we invite you to join us in prayer for these specific areas :

  • New Believers: For the six adults who came to Christ at Christmas and the ladies from the KTV outreach. Pray they would be deeply rooted in their new faith and find community in our discipleship groups.

  • Our Vocational Trainee: Pray for Srey Roth* as she begins her new vocational placement at the Café.

  • Health & Protection: For the children in our sponsorship and milk programmes, that they would be protected from illness and the dangers prevalent in their neighborhoods.
